BVD in Prose, Sunsetology

An east-by-southeast morning sun stirs the green canvas of the Red Oak. Our initial bearing is almost directly into it, on a long starboard tack, until the sun shifts from the south and west and we’re reaching, racing through the middle hours. This evening the old wooden ship will run before the sunset, east-southeast toward the deeps.
