Feng Shui (or, Facing Ourselves)

The bench is in the wrong part of the yard for us to want to sit in it – out in the left front corner, all in shade, a dampish sort of place and with tree litter everywhere around it. It sits diagonally across the corner, facing the front porch. It’s also in the perfect part of the yard, because we never sit there. From the front porch, it’s a way to imagine ourselves sitting on a bench.
